Up to 95% of the Sun will slowly disappear behind the Moon in the most dramatic eclipse visible from the UK since August 1999.
Some parts of England could see up to 96 per cent of the moon covering the sun on 12 August.
The partial eclipse is expected to be the most extensive since 1999, astronomers say.
